A dynamic quarter for RIS ECOMOVE

Dynamic RIS ECOMOVE

During the first six months of this year, the RIS ECOMOVE team worked on developing the best methods and materials to help organizations take a step forward toward electrifying their vehicle fleets, encouraging greener employee travel, and fostering a deeper understanding of mobility within the context of ESG reporting.

More importantly, we focused on building a community whose members have the power to act as drivers of change themselves—whether they come from the public or private sector.

After the summer break, we gathered again on September 16, during the European Mobility Week, at the Responsibility in Motion conference. There, besides networking, we delivered the first training sessions across all three of the project’s focus areas, using an innovative format called the Corporate Social Responsibility Training Ground.

In parallel with our activities in Croatia, we also worked in Latvia. In collaboration with our partner Vadims Morozovs, we completed the first round of the RIS ECOMOVE programme with a total of ten participants of the Corporate Fleet Transition module, with another batch expected by the end of the year.

In October, thirteen representatives from the company Verso Altima successfully participated in the RIS ECOMOVE ESG programme run by GRINN. At the same time, focusing on green travel plans, ERKON launched collaborations with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb and with the Entrepreneurship Center of the Krapina-Zagorje County.

We presented our work at the Green Transition 2025–2030 conference in Krapina, as well as at the National Cycling Conference in Poreč, where we discussed the links between sustainable organizational mobility, employee green travel plans, and the planning of local mobility systems.

In mid-November, at the invitation of the Faculty of Engineering in Rijeka (RITEH) and Professor Vedran Kirinčić, we worked with around twenty students of the Energy Transition in the Transport Sector course. During a four-hour workshop, they developed preliminary measures for a Green Mobility Plan for an organization with 100 employees. Although this was a hypothetical case, the participants gained insight into all stages of plan preparation and had the opportunity to justify their proposed measures.

In just a few days, on November 19, the event Operational Excellence in Practice – Managing Energy and Costs with Lower Emissions will take place, focusing on concrete solutions for managing energy, mobility, and logistics in real business environments. As co-organizers, RIS ECOMOVE partners will have the opportunity to present their ESG program to new potential partners and participants.

With just over a month left until the end of the year, RIS ECOMOVE continues to energetically pursue its mission toward sustainable employer mobility powered by EIT Urban Mobility.
